We wanted to address a few things.
The mod team tries to do everything in fairness. We cannot read everything and that's when the report button comes in handy. If there is something to be reported, please use it.
That being said, sometimes in situations in the past, not everyone has agreed with the way it was handled. We are not perfect. There have been times when after something happened, we have told each other that we should have handled it differently. We are human.
A few months ago, we put into place an infraction system as a guidelines for the mods. There are temporary ones that expire and some that don't. After 3 temporary infractions, a person gets a 1 day ban. After 3 1 day bans, they have a week ban.
What I'm trying to say is that we do not arbitrarily go around giving infractions to people and letting other people slide.
If you have been giving an infraction by a moderator, you can appeal it to an admin or a supermoderator. If a supermoderator gave you one, feel free to contact one of the admins.
We also have rules for moderators. Moderators are not above anyone else. If they say or do things that would get members infractions, they will also get one. If you feel that they are abusing their power, you can also report them.
I do not want anyone to feel that they cannot approach me with anything.
I have an open door policy. If you are concerned about something, feel free to pm me. I know I speak for the other 2 admins as well. You can also pm them. I know that Xandtrick right now is out of town and may take a while to reply. Heaven's Wraith is lurking but will get back you promptly.
