Ok so i just got an email from my lawyer saying he's working on getting some info from the DHS attorney to see if my file came and if my fingerprints cleared so that we would waste our time and money to go out to Texas.Let's hope he get an answer before we leave on Tuesday:ponder:

She sounded like she would at the last hearing but you never know with DHS.

He said he'll try he also said that the DHS attorney's office is so disorganised that they don't know which court they are assigned to until a few days before a hearing.Hopefully he'll find something out.

Hey, Caribbeanman, strange that I've never asked this before, but ... Why do you have to come to Texas for your hearings? You couldn't change the venue to where you are now? Which is Florida, right? Or are you in the same boat as we are and you go where your lawyer is?

Last time I went to an InfoPass appointment, the info officer asked me why we didn't change the venue. I gave her the standard reply (husband hired his sister's Boston-based attorney, yadda yadda yadda), but then a few minutes later, I thought to myself, "Wait. Why DON'T we change the venue?!"

We're certainly getting VERY FAMILIAR with the Houston-Boston flight skeds. Whew. Will be glad when that's over ...

We did not change the venue b/c we were vey pleased with our lawyer and he knows everyone at the courts and the local office so we stayed in Texas.
