HI there,
I'm going to the Consulate in Rio soon.
I have 2 waiver fees to pay.
Has any one used a credit card there?
The papers they gave my wife mentions Cash or International Credit Card.
I have a Washington Mutual (WAMU) Credit Card that they said will work in Brazil.
Any idea if the Consulate will take it? I don't like the idea of walking around with $1100 in my pocket.
Thanks! God Bless!

Who is they? Your credit card company?
I would call them to let them know plenty ahead of time that you will be using your credit card outside the U.S.
Also you might see if it is possible to call the consulate in Rio and ask.

starmut, please keep me updated, my husband will be there in 2 weeks and we are scared to death..Did you bring certified copies of everything again for the interview? Did they ask for anything that you didn't know they would ask for? Did they give you any problem making your waiver appointment?
