Ok - so I have a couple of questions. I know that beginning in early 2007 the NVC was going to be doing the scheduling of all first appointments in CDJ Mexico....Does anyone know if this means that they hold on to the completed packet until an appointment becomes available? (Which is what I 'think' is happening)
I am asking because a friend of mine recently told me this:
Back in May I received a letter from the USCIS that this is to notify you that the Form I-824 has been approved on behalf of my husband. The United States Consulate in Juarez , Mexico has been cabled and the record of approved I-130 has been forwarded. This completes all actions regarding your request.
She is wondering if her file is still at the NVC - like we all thought it should be, or if it was indeed sent to CDJ.
I am sure there may have been some information on this when all the changes started taking place at NVC before this site got 'revamped' - but I can't find any info on it now. And are the interviews still taking about a year to schedule?
