Well just want to let everyone know that my husband and I are back home. Our pick up date was wednesday last week and everything went great! They did not ask to look at any additional paperwork. The only glitch was that they still didn't have the fingerprint results but that was resolved right away. They have the digital fingerprint machine now and they re-did them and we had the result back in 20 minutes. Aside from that everything went smoothly and now we are back at home waiting for green card and ss card to arrive in the mail! :)
I'm very happy for you Judyoro!!!

Thank you all. Once again if it hadn't been for all you all sharing your experiences, knowledge and support I wouldn't have been able to make it through it. But I did thanks to you all.
I am very happy to see that during the time I was gone (1 month) alot of people received approvals. This brings lots of joy to my heart knowing that we are all finally re-uniting with our families.
God bless.

Hi Judyoro!
I'm so glad to here that everything went well! I just have a question for you!
How long did the process take at the consulate and at the bridge,
I'm just trying to figure out if I should reserve a flight for the same day or for the following day.. I just dont want to reserve a flight and then miss the plane...
So I take it you went with your husband? did they let you in with him? did they ask you anyquestions.. our appt is August 1, and I'm still trying to figure out if I should go or not?

rpena,
We got in line at 5:20 a.m. and there were already a whole bunch of people in line. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Lincoln and walked about a block. They started letting people in at about 6:45 a.m. The people in line that were in front of me were both let in husband and spouse. I've been at the consulate 2 before and I had been let in because my husband reads and writes very little and this was reason enough for them to allow me in for a third time! We were called up to window 5 at about 9:30 a.m. By the way everthing is very organized from the last time I went in December.
At the window the lady asked us what we had missed from our last appointment? I told her nothing...we had submitted our I-601 waiver and were now returning becuase we had received approval...I showed her the approval notice but she said she did not need it and to go into building B and wait for our name to be called.
We were in building B for about 20 minutes when we were called to Window 31 and there we had to swear to tell the truth. The lady asked us if my husband had been in mexico for the past 1.5 yrs. and we told her no. He had been there for 2.5 yrs. She said everything was good but could not authorize the visa until fingerprints were back..she checked to make sure we had paid and then re-took the fingerprints (digital) and told us she would get results back in 20-30 min. 20minutes later we were called back up to the same window and she said everything looked good gave us a half sheet white paper and said to wait for them to call us up again that it would be a while since visas that were approved by waivers took a bit longer. By this time it was a little after 10 a.m. (The white slip she gave us said Welcome to the U.S.)
We finally got called at 1 p.m. for the packet and what bridge to go to. We took a taxi right outside the consulate went to the hotel and checked out and headed to the Bridge ( I cant remember which one it was but it started with a "c") wARNING: The people at the bridge are really rude. We got out of there at a little past 3 p.m. and headed to el paso airport.
I guess that is it. Sorry it was so long. Hope this help answer your questions. :):):)

This is so true they were very rude to us also! I didn't see any signs that directed us so we both went up to the first row of seats and sat down, the officer came out and told my husband to go an wait at the back of the building??? She said only those having their passports stamped could sit in front! I told her that he was the one that needed the passport stamped...I'm latina and I laugh now but I think I look very Americanized but apparently not to the officer that day!

Yup, that is the exact same thing that happened to us. Except she made an example out of me and basically yelled at me in front of everyone! I was so emberassed...I too had to go sit at the back of the building and wait for him to be done.
