I-601/I-212 Vermont

Hi everyone......

My Fiance is a usc ,and I am a canadian citizen Our Fiance petiton was approved in July 2007.I had my Interview Feb,2008 U.S Consulate Montreal.
Overstayed more then six months so had to file I601,I212 together. My moneyorders for I601 and I212 were cashed in jun 2008 which i checked from canada postoffice.Since then heard nothing.
My question if any one knows that after moneyorder cashed how long it takes?Since those money orders were for us treasury so it means my case is in vermont right.
I checked online and my fiance register uscis website and checked every day but there is nothing for case status.

As you can see from the answers here, it just takes a long time. From the time that you turned it in in Montreal, it probably took one month just to be transferred to Montreal.

The processing time seems to be sitting at 12-13 months, though we are all hopeful that it is set to speed up. Vermont/Montreal is one of the slowest 601 processers worldwide. Let us know if you get a receipt notice from Vermont. Also, take a look in the I-601 resources, there are some notes on processing there (In the sticky's) that will help you understand the process.

so this means I601,211 fees money order which were cashed in jun 2008 were cashed by
vermont right not the u.s consulate montreal.
