Ok, so well I am sending my I-130 this week and I know it will be denied at the visa interview because my husband was deported for overstaying....question is I read somewhere that if you bring your I-601 filled out and ready to the initial interview that it can cut down on time waiting for approval, does anyone know if this is true or has done this themselves? Also, husband's home country is Bolivia, anyone done their's there?

Thanks

It is not the I-130 that will be denied. Think of the I-130 as proof of your marriage. This is the first form the file to establish that you may apply for a visa for your husband. After you have applied for the visa, (and send them all necessary documentation), they will schedule the interview and he will be denied because of the violations. I am not sure if Bolivia allows you to hand your waiver packet in to them that day, but assuming they do, he will hand it in and it will be sent to Lima, if that is who adjudicates Bolivia waivers. If you are sending the I-130 out now, you have several months to prepare your waiver packet.

Finally someone else filing through Bolivia :D
We weren't allowed to file the waiver the same day as the interview, we had to go back a couple weeks later. I think it's the norm there, but I would highly recommend you have it all ready for the interview anyways.
Good luck with everything ;)
