Hi Everyone
After a year wait , my lawyer just informed me that , our waiver 601 and 212 was denied . The OIC said that i had claimed US citizenship while filling for a Job application .My wife who is asmathic and suffer sick cell anemia , but the OIC said that these were not enough reason also , even though we had supporting documents from her doctor and since she was in the US army and was discharged for medical , we submitted the army papers as well to show that her health condition was geniune
My lawyer is advising us to refile , but i don't think it's a right move if i go by what Laurel said on her website i quote " Always be sure to ask your client if he/she ever claimed to be a US citizen for immigration purposes. This is a permanent ground of inadmissibility for which there is no waiver, INA 212(a)(6)(C)(ii). The US consulate in Juarez is diligent in finding aliens
who have committed this particular violation."
Anyone ? Do you now if claiming US citizenship for work related matters will fall under " immigration purposes ".
Thank you all
