Ok so, adding to my already lengthy and drama-filled story...our prodigal son came back.
So maybe a few of you remember that I had posted on here that our son Michael Jordan (teddy bear hamster) escaped from his cage about a month ago. We looked for him for several days and came up with nothing. We were devasted because he was such a character and even knew his name. Bonnie was especially saddened. They shared many fun times together.
Fast forward to this weekend. So it turns out on friday Evening I started packing up some of our stuff for the big move. Saturday morning hubby woke up real early and took my car to get it's new shoes (tires) put on. When he came back, my dad had arrived with his truck and together with my BIL they loaded up the truck with our living room, dining room, and computer desk. Upon finishing the afternoon moving half of our belongings to our new home..hubby decided to check in the one place we hadn't looked for Michael due to the fact that our couch had been obstructing the entrance. The boiler closet. When he opens the door what does he find? little piles of poo. He started screaming "Michael is here, Michael is here babe!" Knowing my joking husband, I yelled back "yeah right". But I got even more suspicious when I heard him say "Oh, Hi Michael we missed you...where were you!" curiously I went over to the boiler and saw what my husband was doing..he was taking Michaels food bowl over to a skinny dirty little Michael whom was scared of my husband. I was like WOAH!!!!!!! it really was Michael. After some coaxing and sweet talk he was convinced that it was us..his parents. Hubby and I hugged and Bonnie gave him a real big lick and left him upset. Of course, knowing hamsters he sat in his cage and bathed himself. He was so thirsty after his 30 day adventure.
So needless to say, we were lucky that our son is finally back. Imagine if we hadn't looked for him before leaving the apartment? He would've come out of his hiding place and said "WTH?? Where did everyone go?" LOL...hubby and I would joke around a lot and say that one day our prodigal son would come back and ask for forgiveness...lol...
Poor Michael he's been asleep since Saturday and even fell asleep trying to climb up one of his tubes. Anyhow, I'm sure that he's glad to be back as we are. :D
