My wife finally got her ead card in the mail :cheerful:
I believe the next step is to get her a SSN? Afterwards, she can start working?
If there is anything else she needs to do, I am all ears.
She just needs to go to the SS office and apply for the card. Be sure to take you Passport and EAD card with you. My husband got his SS card in exactly 7 days. Matter of fact he started work and just told his employer that he had applied for the SS (I think they give you a letter stating this) but he already had a job lined up ahead of time

I could'nt find the edit button so I have to make another post.
After my wife gets her SSN# i was planning on taking her to the DMV to get a drivers license. She already has a canadian driver license. Even though she has one from a different country, im guessing it wont matter and she will have to take the DMV test here in the united states to get a real one here?
Im sorry for the multiple post's but its very exciting :cheerful:. My wife can finally work and its now opening up alot of options and things that need to be taken care of.
I know I have to get her a SSN# so she can work but im trying to think of anything else that needs to be taken care of or anything else that i should be prepared for.
I am open for sugesstions.

did she have her other fingerprints appointment, for the i485? there are two types of fingerprints, on is the biometrics for the work permit and the other is the i485. they take the fingerprints of all fingers for the FBI. After that, just wait for your appointment and prepare of course.

She has only had one session of being fingerprinted and that was for the biometrics appointment.
When we got there, I saw they took all of her finger prints and not just one. Including both her hands and fingers. I will have to check the form to see if that counted for the I-485 as well.
