Another letter with supporting documents

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to send another letter to Athens with some some more supporting evidence. I want to know if I can make this letter more personal and emotional because my hardship letter was so strict and to the point with no emotions just facts. I need to try to persuade the officer to feel some pity for me if it is possible. Any suggestions? I have been here in Jordan for a while, and my son was just diagnosed with Bronchitis, again. And his blood tests show that he has iron definciency and his PCV is low. anybody know what that is? I think it has something to do with the bone marrow. Any thoughts and answers would be apprecieated. I just want to go home God willing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hello sam...

If you need to send another letter. Do so. I would like to suggest, on top of stating your personal feelings and emotion (we know that's somewhat irrelevant as they only want facts, right?), include your son's medical report as well.

If this is the correct PCV, it stands for Packed Cell Volume : http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/hematocrit/test.html

Sam, this is a great idea to send an additional letter. We did so for our waiver. You can write in you own words stressing out that since your hubby left you have been experiencing an enormous amount of stress and hardship. You can ask you friends and relatives write a statements ( something like :”since XXX left, she was not sleeping well, she has been crying on the phone… has been an emotional wreck,… was not able to relax…. It looks like with XXX departure part of her died…..) – staff like that, then add them to your letter. Also as far as I know, iron deficiency in kids means wrack immune system and there are goes your Bronchitis again.
Is this what you mean when you say an iron deficiency? http://www.umm.edu/blood/aneiron.htm

Anyway, remember as more papers/proof as better and lesser chance an adjudicator have chance to deny the waiver.

Good luck.

Anemia comes with a compromised immune system which predisposes the individual to infection of which bronchitis is an infection You should have your pediatrician do A complete blood count (CBC) on your son periodically to see if he remains consistently anemic which would subject him to repeated infectios not only bronchitis but any other opportunistic infections which could be a good arguement since this could jeopardize his health on a long term basis I am an RN

Thanks for the help Maxdave. I will add that statement about the consistent anemia could lead to health problems later on in life. Appreciate the help.
