Hello. I was just wondering along with some others if there is a number to call and set up the waiver appt. like in Mexico or do they schedule your waiver at the time of the visa interview when they determine you are eligible and that you have to file one. Please let us know.
Thanks

you don't need to call to set up the waiver appt. just go to the consulate in any wednesday after you know that you are eligible, because they only receive that type of packages that day

Yes, mormita is right. You can't submit the waiver the same day even if you have it with you, but you can go back the next Wednesday.

reyluna, great news that she will be home soon! Its strange about the procedure difference from what they told my hubby. The told him that he would receive the packet in the mail in 10 to 14 days from when he turned in his paperwork that they wanted. I wonder why the difference.

ReyLuna,
That's interesting, did you called DHS everyday or something? did you get received the letter in the mailbox? I know you said you called them when it was approved. When my wife spoke with DHS yesterday they told her I would receive a letter in my mailbox when the decision would be made. We still have about 1-2 month waiting time, they were processing waivers as of Feb, my wife is on the queue for March. You and Paige both called, but did you guys received a letter too?

ReyLuna can you tell us what did you do to accelerate the process? i am sure you had to update your wife's medical records and police records and passports.. thanks for sharing the info.

embassy called my wife monday august 18th, they told her to bring my latest w2 forms b4 her medical records and police records and all that stuff expired so i faxed her my w-2's on monday august 18th she took them in and everything was approved right there they told her to come back in on wednesday august 27th to pick up her package to come back home. i did called my senator and filled out a few privacy release forms so that they can speed up the process it did work in a way.

4 more days and im picking her up at the airport.. :D
