I was looking at your timeline, how can your EAD be rejected?

...and for my next question, I was under the impression that once I had the Fiance Visa, I would be finished with CDJ. Is it my understanding that the next step would be AOS filing I-130 and other documents that must go through CDJ???

You may be eligible to apply for adjustment to permanent resident status if you are already in the United States and if one or more of the following categories apply to you.

You were a fiancé who was admitted to the United States on a K-1 visa and then married the U.S. citizen who applied for the K-1 visa for you. (If you married the U.S. citizen but not within the 90-day time limit, your spouse also must now file USCIS Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative ). Your unmarried, minor children are also eligible for adjustment of status. See How Do I Bring My Fiancé to the United States? for more information. If you did not marry the U.S. citizen who filed the K-1 petition in your behalf, or if you married another U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, you are not eligible to adjust status in the United States.

I do not think that you need to file the I130 as long as you marry within the alloted time. Check out the links that Marie has posted here: http://immigrate2us.net/forum/showthread.php?t=86 that pertain to AOS. I am pretty sure that you do not have to go back to CDJ and that all AOS will be done in the US. I hope that helped.

Shellyfco-- you are correct, once you have k1 visa in hand and are in the US, you can file for AOS, and have the interview where you live. In my case, my husband is eager to work, have a ssn, drivers license, bank acct. petition for b2 visa for his mom, and everything seems easier with a GC in hand...hes had his visa almost a year now,( we waited to file AOS until we were married 2 yrs to avoid conditional green card status) so we decided we waited long enough for it. If we waited for AOS the interview could take another 6+ months. So our 130 interview date came up, and we are going.

FOR your EAD question, I never followed up with it to inquire why it was rejected. we paid the correct fee, which they said was the error. Someone posted on a thread I started under EAD that i could have made an inquisition, that it was their mistake in denying me. you can look up that thread if you like.

GOod luck with everyhting!
