Chihuahua with dual citizenship (two of them).

This is DH's American-born Chihuahua who's been in Mexico City for a couple of months. We're preparing to visit him in a couple of days.

His name is *Puppy.*
We're hoping he's fully bilingual soon.:smirk:

He wasn't impressed with the coat but he tolerated modelling for the photo.

Below, my BIL is assisting Puppy walk in the booties. They were an inexpensive set from Wal-Mart and they absolutely wouldn't stay on. Puppy was absolutely not impressed with them at all.

@Marie Post #9 No, I copied it through photobucket and pasted the link here. I've not moved them from this thread. It might have something to do with the way that I first imported them and got it onto photobucket. This last time around I downloaded all the photos off the chip onto computer. I didn't do it that way before and geez, I couldn't backtrack all those other different steps I took (lol). Also, earlier I deleted some photos that were on the photobucket page that I'd previously had posted. That's the problem, maybe? But that couldn't make them disappear from here? Oh geez, what did I do wrong. I usually go through my All-In-One printer to Photobucket and no problems. I took a detour this time, I guess.

Are the photos coming up at all?
Or are they vanishing real quick?
Does the #10 photo stay on vs the previous ones?

DH walked into the home where *Puppy* was and Puppy didn't even notice him. But then DH whistled this particular whistle like he used to do and Puppy almost went loco, he recognized it!! He ran up to DH and his tail was wagging and was licking him. You could feel Puppy's body sort of trembling when we first held him because he remembered us. I don't have a photo of he and I, but he likes to play around biting my hands and I'll cover his head with my hand and then let him bite at me, push him back and he loves the aggravation. But with DH, he licks him to death!

This is one of the photos absent in the first photo. The inexpensive booties bought from Wal-Mart wouldn't stay on and BIL was trying to help Puppy walk in them but his feet kept slipping out.

@Salsa2 That purse weighs a ton. It's an Italian Marino Orlandi bought at Ross Dress For Less in 1997 for $150 and it's still holding up well! It's really not good for the strap to push into my shoulder though but you know how us women are - we'll tolerate anything. An older man, co-worker of mine, told me one time that it's big enough to use for an *overnight shack-up kit!!*

Yeah, pink booties on a male! (lol) Waste of money on those.

@Cherokee I think it's best to go to a pet store to get the right clothes. Wal-Mart's didn't fit too well about three months ago when he was smaller although we bought the XXXS size.

@Auntlilly Yeah, he's single, about six months old right now and I guess he's still a virgin too. I don't think he's met any females yet. I wish he could meet Bonnie and he could leave D.F. and then I could come to pick him up in Laredo even if I had to use a coyote to bring him back to the States. DH (Dear Husband) was a little weary that I was going to walk out the door with him and run but he figured I woudn't do that because I wouldn't know where to go in D.F. to hide from them and it would make his mother mad. He bought Puppy for his mother. (I always hoped that he was lying. I'd hoped that he bought Puppy for himself and was going to have him there in D.F. but Puppy stays with the MIL so he's not at the same home as DH.) I was at the airport and DH's mouth almost fell open when he heard me ask how much extra it is to transport Puppy back. D.H. paid for the first vet visit and then he (we) paid for the second when Puppy either accidentally got bumped in the eye by one of the kids or Puppy himself hurt himself somehow with one of his eyes watering. So we paid for the visit. I felt the MIL should've paid for it. D.H. would like to have Puppy here in the States and so would I. He said that maybe when MIL and Puppy comes to visit at end of year that maybe he can talk her into accepting another dog. I don't want any puppies by Puppy, *I want Puppy!!!* He just loves DH to death, it was so obvious when we were there. DH would walk down the stairs and Puppy's ears were standing up straight listening, listening to see if DH was leaving out of the door or not. It was that *whistle* that really caused Puppy to remember DH and it was all loving licks after that!!

I have more photos if I can later use a program to retrieve them off the data card.

Oh, well Puppy doesn't need much to cross the border. He just needs either his Vaccination records or his adoption papers. But here in Laredo they rarely ask for either. We crossed our 50 lb dog to Nuevo Laredo for a vet visit and on our way back the inspecting officer just petted him and said he was cute. No papers no nothing...he really didn't even ask for our papers either..lol..he was more interested in making friends with Bolita (the dog).

Keep fingers crossed X that on our next visit to Malfunction Junction (Consulate) that MIL will permit DH to bring Puppy to visit in Juarez.

Tee-hee, I'll have Puppy close to the border and sneak cross over with him or pay a coyote to take him for me (in the sense that DH doesn't know I have Puppy!). He's wise to my thoughts and plans. I wouldn't do that though but it crosses my mind!! I still have copies of his vet records here in the U.S. and can use them. Whew, would that ever chap my MIL!!! He was born here so they can't do jack. I joke!

I'm disappointed. He has to have vet records ten days before the flight. I won't get to see Puppy. If he'd been able to come to CDJ, I'd probably have hugged him first! Rats!! I'm so aggravated with myself that I didn't call and check about that. I know somebody had a thread about bringing an animal over, a horse or whatever it was, but it didn't click for me to check that out. Psssst!!! I'm disappointed and sad. No Puppy this time. Maybe when MIL comes on her visa later she'll bring him. If she doesn't, then it's because she's afraid in the U.S. I'll *snatch* Puppy and take off with him. (She's probably right!) lol

As of late, and too late, I heard it was 30 days and less for vaccinations for the dogs so it was too late for *Puppy* to fly to Juarez to visit me. Upshot is, MIL is afraid I or a coyote is going to take *Puppy* to the U.S. so he wasn't going to visit anyway.

I got fed up and bought my own Apple Head Chihuahua here in Juarez (again, dual citizenship). I can't post photos until Los Cedros get the signal or whatever the problem is corrected.

When I post the photos, I'll announce what his name is. I have one secret pal that is going to love it, I'm certain! Keep fingers crossed Los Cedros corrects the problem.

I'll ask the mods if they'll add text to the title of this thread.

This is an Apple Head Chihuahua I bought in Juarez. Slvj's DH (Dear Husband) searched and found him for me. He was the last one of the brood and I was undecided because I didn't really like the dark nose but now I just love him to death!!

His name is *Proud Mex-USA* and when he's in the U.S. he'll go by the name of *Proud Mex* and will use the *Mex-USA* whenever he's in Mexico.

One of my very best friends, Ms. B, who is trying to get her ten-year-old babe Flipper Dog and Proud Mex together for photos but my camera wasn't fast enough. Flipper Dog likes to get acquainted and then just goes on his merry way and pays no more attention. Nonchalant as he is! Ms. B lives near the ocean in Mobile and has had her home devastated by two hurricanes over the past six years so it was a delight to see her spirits lifted by the lovely place being put back together again.
