I am so mad I mean words can't even express at the moment.

this is a copy of an email I sent out in response to a message I received.

This video is making it's way over the internet. Attached is the message that was sent along with it. It's so disturbing
to me. Those poor dogs. I know we can't save every animal in this world, but we can sure try. There are so many people trying to make a difference. There's an entire network on dog rescues.

It's a shame that this child has learned such behavior and that nothing has been done about it. The poor mother just cowars there in fear and the puppies with their bloated bellies. It makes me sick. It's disgusting.

I hope that by giving this information to your some attention can be brought to this matter and something can be
done for the well being of these puppies and mother.

As a former resident of Atlanta, I urge you to please make this matter known before it's too late. These animals do not deserve such cruel treatment.

Thank you for your time

here is the message:

Call Fulton County and demand they investigate this NOW!.This bia needs to be stopped and fast!!!PlLz Repost

Young girl in Atlanta Abusing Pit Bulls Recorded 9/7/07

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I video taped this young girl abusing Pit Bulls in Atlanta. Fulton county animal/ Humane Society will do nothing. I called them numerous times over the last few weeks, but that was before I shot this video. Maybe this will spur some action. This video was shot two days ago in the old 4th ward. I have other videos of this girl and her mother abusing the dogs. Besids the physical abuse, the puppies have not seen a vet since birth and as you can tell they have worms as evidenced by their bloated distended tummies. If you can help to save these dogs please email me. They have been kept outside all summer in the crae in the video. Seven puppies and the mother all crammed into one crate, even on 100+ degree days.

Oh that is so sad! Those poor dogs!

Have you contacted them yet? I wonder if contacting the news there would do anything.

Her and her mother need a good old fashioned beat down. I guess you can't expect more from trash like that. I hope they both get caught and in big trouble. It's sad to see the mother so scared that she won't even defend her babies. SICK!!!! FU** those BIT****!!! Both of them mother and daughter.

I believe completely in karma and they will get theirs. I think all of us should call and I agree that you can't save ALL animals but even 1 is still better than 0.

I wrote every Atlanta station I could find. I'm going to call the number in the morning because this is not right. It's so unfair. Like I said I really am sick to my stomach over this. I'm glad I got this video but I'm so sad that I did. It breaks my heart. I love karma but sometimes she takes a little too long to work. I really really wish I still lived in ATL.

I hear ya Ratito. I hope that justice is served quickly. I can't believe that there has not been a response with a video like this. The system just sucks.

I look on youtube, the woman that passed on the video is now trying to get the address but the person with the address isn't talking. This is crap. So they're trying to get the address from him. The good thing is that this lady at www.dontdumpthatdog.com has a lot of connections and she found someone in Atlanta who's trying to find the dogs. yay!!!! I hope they do. I'll keep you posted if I find out anything. I feel so bad for those dogs. That little girl should have her butt beat along with her parents.

Honestly, I don't have the guts to watch the video. I hate two pitbulls, an aussie and a min pin. I can't bear to watch animal abuse. I'm the kind of person that will take in a lost dog and post found posters before even thinking about taking them to the pound (our local shelter is a kill shelter). Please report back any new info you have. Animal abusers should be punished with the full weight of the law for hurting innocent animals. I bet that if animals had a voice to stick up for themselves, the law would protect them more. Please keep us informed and thanks for caring enough about our four legged friends to go after these people. God bless.

There are some videos I don't have the guts to watch either, but last night at work I was watching them. I sat here and cried like a baby for 2 hours. It's just not right and there are tons of clueless people in the world. Spay & neuter that's my new motto. It's not fair that all these innocent animals have to die because of their irresponsible owners. I watched a video/documentary about kill shelters and after seeing that my views have changed. It's so sad. I can't even think about it.

I really really hope they can get these dogs out of there. I'll let you know if I find anything else out.

If they do and they make them adoptable I am most definitely putting in my application.

I love my boys. I could never treat them that way.

the address has been given to Fulton County who was bombarded this morning with phone calls and emails. The district attorney was also contacted and finally someone is going out.

Fox 5 called me back and want an address, but i don't have it so I am trying to get it. I'm glad that they're actually wanting to get involved. yay!!!!!

so that lady from that site found the address??

What i don't understand is why people are harping on the lady who posted it. She might be out of town and couldn't check back and honestly I don't think you should post someone's address on the internet though.

I also watched those videos on youtube and it made me sad/mad. But one made me giggle:

ok story goes like this....the neighbor the guy bob called the county but the county did nothing. Well he made a video posted it to the internet, emailed it to some rescue groups and that's how I found it. The woman that sent it to me is trying to get the address.

Bob said that the county went out along with CBS news and gave the owner a citation and said that puppies had to be out by Sept 17.

I said that those puppies and the mother won't survive that long. It's really sad.

YouTube Video Sparks Animal Cruelty Investigation

POSTED: 3:36 pm EDT September 10, 2007
UPDATED: 4:49 pm EDT September 10, 2007

ATLANTA -- A 10-year-old Atlanta girl is the subject of an animal cruelty investigation after appearing in a video posted on YouTube.

The girl is seen beating a stick against a dog crate. She is then shown picking up a pitbull puppy and throwing it on the ground.

The man who shot the video said he posted it online to pressure authorities into taking the dogs away.

The girl's mother, Emily Gibbs, came to her daughter's defense, but agrees that the animals should not be treated that way.

"Being a single mom, you can't be everywhere at every moment at every second of every day," Gibbs said. "But seeing that video right there … I'm going to have another talk with her. But as far as mistreating my dogs, she doesn't do that."

I was a single mother for 9 years before I met my husband and let me tell you - my son is being raised with not only respect for himself, but respect for others, property and animals ... and would NEVER do something like that.

I agree that mother is in denial - but to push it off on being a 'single mother unable to witness everything' makes me so mad. It comes down to parenting. Period. And she has done a pretty poor job and that girl is a perfect example of such. "talk with her" - gimme a break. I think she needs to do something a little more drastic that 'talking to her'. That girl learned to treat animals like that somewhere - and from someone....

Those puppies deserve so much better and I hope something really positive comes out of this, for their sake.

I think the little girls mother should make her volunteer with animal rescue groups to clean up poop or at the nearest animal shelter. Maybe then she would have a little more compassion for animals. I think it's only right.

If she is that young and treating a dog and her puppies like that now, imagine what kind of parent she will be.

It really does sicken me and it really does make me mad that the mother just brushed it off.

Child care provider?

Gibbs said. "But seeing that video right there … I'm going to have another talk with her.

ANOTHER talk?

But as far as mistreating my dogs, she doesn't do that."

So if she isn't doing anything wrong, why do you need to talk to her??

Yeah..

makes me mad!

Problem is that it sounds like the mother needs the volunteer work along with her.
