to go....until the 20th

That's the day it turns exactly 6 months from the date I filed my 601. I sure hope I hear something good on or before then. Unless 6 months turns into a longer wait and I hope it doesnt.

I'm so tired of all this waiting.

I hope so too, ujcdv.

I was told it is 6 months not longer not less.

Best wishes for your family and a speedy approval.

Thanks

I was told the same thing, but...I guess I'm cynical about it.

Any news yet? I've been checking everyday to see if you've heard from them. It looks like they might require new medical exams. Have you heard about that?

I know exactly how anxious you must feel! I feel so nervous.

Well, I'm wondering how correct the "6 Month" time frame actaully is.

Some people hear things before the 6 months are up like Seg did, and others have had their waivers expidited, (my congressman's office sent a expidite request and it came back stating the 6 month time frame) I only have one week from today left until the 6 month mark is up.

But for some reason, I am feeling like next Wednesday I won't hear a thing. It seems like it should be UP to 6 months for an answer. And since it's only a week left in that time frame, you would think I would have an answer by now?

So I guess I'm just skeptical. This entire process has really shaken my faith in alot of things about our country that I used to take for granted. I think I'm still really angry and upset over the enitre affair. I really was naive about it and now that I know about it, I feel it's just wrong.

But with that being said, there really is nothing I can do. I just have to accept the fact that I'm powerless over the whole thing. And that makes me upset because the whole powerless feeling over a govermental process just seems so Un-American. i thought it was supposed to work for me not against me?

Whatever, I'm rambling....never mind ;)

Yes,

If you go past the 6 month date Guatemala will ask for new medical and or police certificates.
I have seen other people state this. This happened to us, I told the woman we had expedited service so it didn't take 6 months or more. She replied, oh yes that's correct, sorry you don't need new certificates.

Called

Could not get through to anyone in DHS, could not leave a voice mail. I will keep trying though. I ended up sending an email to the consulate though I doubt that will do any good as they do not adjuticate the waivers, DHS does.
