Congratulations. It's nice to hear an approval from Bangkok. I heard this is one of the toughest office. Mine would go through Bangkok, but still working on the HSL.

Big congratulations :D - wonderful news :D.
I need to file through Bangkok shortly, so I have been really following your and tonyr7 cases. Did you file your waiver the same day as your interview? (Same question to you tonyr7) My lawyer says I need to wait for the denial to know what to write in the waiver - which just seems to offer more delay until I can be with my wife and sons.

hey doug
the wife and i got our journey started while i was still in detention in the us, so we knew what to expect
we had researched the waivers and had them prepared before my consular interview, and yes, the sydney consulate allowed me to file the same day as my interview

oh, i almost forgot, when you file your waivers, the money orders must be made out to the consulate your dealing with, not DHS as the web site suggests
also,an additional charge for fingerprinting is also requested by the consulate, i believe its $175, but that may vary from one consul to the next
good luck mate
