What I like about the new site...

I think there may be things about the new site that I have not found yet so I thought we could share what we like about it and maybe this will help get better acquainted with the ins and outs.... anybody else like anything?

What I like about the new site:

1. Zoom...it is super fast

2. Being able to read the entire PM on my e-mail announcement

3. Did I mention that it is super fast? :ty:

I like everything! Particularly that's it's so fast. I also like the navigation better, and all the options, like the fun smiley faces and the additional profile stuff....

Can someone show me how to add that mood feature though? I can't seem to find it but I see a lot of others have it.

it should be at the top right under where it says how many pms you have (that's on the default style)

If you're not using the default template, let me know which one you are using.

I think this layout is more fun!
I like the ability to personalize your profile and of course the mood thing is a hoot!

You have included 9 images in your message. You are limited to using 4 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the vB code [img] tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.




I see that you have protected the site from smiley indulgents as myself.

It took me several years to understand and warm to the smilies....but now I am just addicted...

they are way too much fun and do serve the purpose of body language, inflection, intonation etc. I think their use saves many a conversation from going the wrong direction. :tongue: old :hippy:

just trying to keep this from going the wrong direction...but my all time favorite is mr green....:D

I like alot of things! The signatures are easier to do, ALOT easier to put a picture as your avatar. Everything about the whole profile part I like alot better! The smiles are cute! I like these ones better than the last ones! :thumbup: The mood thing is cool too! I keep going through them just to see what they all look like. Also I like the Members List alot better too! Alot easier to find someone and all!

Yeah i'm still working on changing that template because until you are on the forum homepage, you don't see the pm thing et al. (same goes with the aria one).

If you go to the index, you can change it there.

Well, while I am sad for all the work you have to do, I am excited I can finally post without a problem! Most days before, I couldn't even read through 1 or 2 posts before I it got hung up. I just got tired of trying:sad: & myspace is blocked at work.
And as pinkpig said, it is super fast:thumbup:

Hey Marie and Chula,

I think what Chula was talking about on a different thread about the new site is this:

When you open up a thread that has several posts on it the old site used to automatically pop up the newest post first.

On this new site the oldest post on the thread is the one that pops up first.

There is a button at the top left of the page that if you click on it each time the newest post will pop up.

That is an extra step. :wha::cry::dunno: I was looking for the lazy crybaby one but I could not find it....LOL or the pain in the a## one. It is not there either. LOL


So, here is the question: drum roll please...

Is there a setting that will automatically show the newest post first when I open a long thread? If someone will tell me where it is, I can probably change it myself.

there is an image tag in the "go advanced" or you can use the [ img ] [ / img ] ..take out the spaces

Yeah if you are using the default template, you can change on any page. The other 2, you have to go to the index to change it.

You can just type that in, shouldn't be a problem.
