I would like to know who else is currently waiting for waivers through Ghana.
My fiance is from Sierra Leone, we were denied the k1 at the interview 4/10/08 due to misrepresentation in a B2.
What is the time flow and pattern in Ghana, any tips ?
I have not filed the waiver yet and am still waiting on enough money to retain
an attorney.
Thanks

Hi, I am from the Ivory Coast and we'll be going thru Ghana as well. We're currently at NVC and my husband was denied from misrep on a visitor visa application.
Edit:
We're doing the CR1 and are currently at NVC and my husband was denied the K1 due to misrep on a previous visitor visa application.

Hi bquansah,
Am I understanding correctly, you did not file the waiver after your K1 denial but opted to start over with a CR1 and then you will file the waiver after your next interview ?
We are filing for the waiver on our K1.

This may sound ridiculous, but we were so crushed after the k1 denial that we decided to take a break from immigration. We got married, create more happy memories and are now armed with confidence. We pray that the waiver be approved. If you don't mind me asking what was the misrep for? On ours, my husband was advised to use someone else's identity (not an american citizen) to have more chances to be granted a visitor visa. So he did and used false statements etc...the year prior to us applying for the K1. Everything was discovered during administrative processing.

My fiance's misrep was he entered Stephen with a V and was 3 years off in his birth year
on a tourist application in 2006.
I am still looking for a lawyer that does not cost an arm and a leg and is competent.
Our K1 was denied in April.
Sigh !

I wish you all the best. I am also looking for an attorney who would help with the hardship letter only but they all cost a lot of money.....God bless us!

I have a question. If the waiver gets approved I understand that there will be another interview, could he still be denied at that time even with an approved waiver ?
Or will they just call him for visa pick up ? Or is it true about an interview after the waiver approval ? Does everything have to be updated again ? Proof of relationship, financial form etc. ????????????
