Some Photos of Guatemala

On my many trips to Guatemala to visit my family over the last couple years while we navagate the immigration process. I took alot of photos.

Here are a few of what the country looks like up close.
None of these are family photos and
I'm not a professional photographer
so do not expect some Ansel Adams type of picture..lol

This was taken at sunset leaving Zacapa on the way to Manzanotes.

This is a photo of the city Esqipulas, the large cathedral you see is the Basilica and it dwarfs everything in the city.

This is Quirigua one of the many Mayan Ruins throughout Guatemala, Mexico and Hondurous

I have many more, I just have to go through them.

I think that for all of the forums, there should be a non family photo thread to show all the beauty (and maybe also the ugliness) of the country's we all have a connection too through our spouses. I think that those of us who might have to relocate to be with our families would like to see more of where they are going too with out actually having to spend money to go there. Anyway, it's just an idea.

Once I go through all the photos, I will post them in my album on photobucket and then place a link to it in my sig.

I love Guatemala, it's such a beautiful country, but I hate it at the same time if that makes any sense. This is still kind of tough for me. My daughter woke me up last night crying asking me what we were going to do if mom got killed. It's tougher still on the ninos.

I guess were still not over this yet. Anyway, glad you all enjoyed the pics.

Believe it or not, I took those photos with a 3 megpixal digital camera. A Kodak DC240 to be exact.

The sunset photo I want to frame it. I have another I took in Puerto Rico years ago of a light house on the coast that I would like to frame also. Just never done it.
