Hello

I submitted a 601 and 212 waiver and the Accra Office confirmed the reception in May . A couple days ago i sent a new email , just to get an update , and i was informed that Quote " Your file was received on july 7th 2008". i was confused , so i send them a new email requiring some explanation . I got a response saying that the file received on july 7th is my DHS A file which is required to determine the decision on my waiver .
Is anyone familiar with a DHS A file ? On a side note " I'm praying for y'all in my prayers " ,so please keep on praying .
Regards

Yes, getting the A-file is just one of the steps to confirming necessity, and eligibility for the waiver. It sometimes has to be done before they will adjudicate. The good thing is that they got it, because sometimes they take a long time to get transferred.

I agree, they need this to get your immigration history.

puissance,

Your "A file" contains all the paper records the US has on your immigration journey.
Your A file and all its paper will follow you around your US life until you become a US Citizen. Because it is made up of real papers, it can take quite a long time for it to be received at the different places it may need to be.

:go:Good luck with your waivers!:go:
