well all i know is that we need to file I130, but I have some concerns, they asked for pictures and things that proves us a couple. The few pictures that I do have do not
have dates on them and we barely got married this year in april.
I also think that my age could be a problem. I met him when I was 14 we started dating when I was 15 . I turn 19 this december he is currently 26 yrs.
My parents approved because they know him and his parents and other relatives. my brother was his brothers best friend.
You think this would affect his approval?
Nancy, I don't think the age thing is a problem! You're 18 now and everything is all legal! 8 years isn't bad, there are some people on this forum that are 20+ years apart.
First off is your husband here legally??? You want to make sure that he at least qualifies to file a waiver. If he came here illegally, did he only do it once? Does he have any sort of criminal record or anything you think might be a problem? Ever deported??
You're right, filing the I-130 is the first step. It shouldn't matter if your pictures have dates on them or not.
I'm going to give you link to something you should read. It's an Outline of the Immigration Process. It's on a different immigration forum, but that doesn't matter... It will give you an idea of how things work and then go ahead and ask whatever other questions pop into your head.
Here's the link....

no hes here illegally. he came here in march 98 he got caught at his first attempt and took his information but they did not tell him he was deported and just sent him back. then he got caught a second time and just sent him back . on his third try he did make it. we went to an attorney and he was not to worried about that.
he does not have a criminal record or anything like that. Should I do a FBI background check??
Thanks for your help
From that I would say that he would be able to file a waiver.
It's probably don't need to do a background check.
More people will probably come on here tomorrow and give you advice too.
I would start reading mostly. The information at that link I gave you and some of the stickies in this section..

Especially the one about the Pilot Program since that will have to do with you. The I-601 - Mexico section is the best place to find good info.

Welcome Nancy! Follow M&M's information. You are in the right place. The I-601 Mexico area may become your new second home. :)
