View Full Version : Do or Do Not Purchase Tickets before Visa??

Hello all..My inlaws have an appointment on August 1st in Mexico City to apply for visa's to come here. I thought I had read somewhere that buying your round trip tickets before your appointment in not a good idea since it will not help in the decision of visa issuance and they usually are non-refundable..
Now of course my sister in law who is in Mexico insists they need to have the tickets with them at the appointment..
Does anyone know which is correct?

I am SO hoping they can come..it will make the whole family's year!:plane:

My MIL and SIL came last year and we did not buy tickets until after they had their visa in hand!

It is just like with the IR-1 Visas or any Visas. NEVER buy tickets until you have Visas in hand!
