heres the low down...

Friends father and mother went to visit America B2 visa and while there he had to have some kind of surgery which put him in a coma, they are keeping him alive artificially however my friend in Armenia wants to go see his father to say goodbye or what not and he applied for a visa from the embassy even got a letter from the doctor in America explaining his fathers situation and got a letter from the government here in Armenia saying that he will be coming back because he is a very important figure in Armenia or whatever however he got denied a visa from the American embassy. Is there anything he can do about this. He wants a lawyer in America to help him does anyone know a good attorney in California that could help him from over in America to here in Armenia. He will pay any amount hes got money I know that. Is there anything that an attorney can do?

Manda,
did he request a humanitarian visa to enter the US? I don't know if attorneys have jurisdiction, since the Embassy can do what it wants. Tell him to try the humanitarian visa.

:ditto:

Before my uncle passed away, one of his son's (my cousin) did not have a visa to visit the US and he tried getting a humanitarian visa to visit. Unfortunately by the time any paperwork was even looked at, my uncle passed. So my cousin didn't even get to say goodbye to his dad. My other families were VERY ticked off, but there was not much they could do.

Tell your friend to PLEASE fight it!!! Don't back down and don't let them bully him. Family is important and these oficials need to realize this. Can he get a B2 visa as well? If he can prove strong ties to his goverment then maybe he can atleast get a visitors visa good for 6 mos. or so.

I looked up the humanitarian visa and couldnt find anything on it.

The B2 visa is what he first applied for and got denied.
