I have a friend that asked me for my help!! and I dont know what to do..
His mom is an LPR and she filed for him on Dec. 11th 1992..He EWI but I think he can just adjust status here in the US and pay the 1,000 fee, since he has the I-130 filed for him before April 30th 2000...
And when I enter his case # on the USCIS website it says
Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Current Status: Case received and pending.

Shouldnt this case have a decision on it yet? Does he have to wait for a visa number to become available??
Cant he just file the I-485 and go to his interview and pay the 1,000 fee etc?? Or does the I-130 need to be approved and visa number available?? When his mother filed the I-130 for him, he was under age 21..
What does he need to do??
