Im sorry if I posted in the wrong spot, but I have some questions.
On the back of every US bill are the above words, In God We Trust.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are those bills issued by the federal govt?
Doesnt the very same govt, at every chance, expowse the faith they have in the almighty?
so, my question is,why does the govt, have an agency that is manned by so called god fearin folks, who regurlaly overide the vows that a husband and wife swear to before God..?
Dont they trust that God knows the difference?
Or do they think that because they have a public service position, that The Almighty will allow them to make His decisions for Him?

I vowed to my wife, and God, that I would love her and cherish her till death did us part...
not a minumum wage, self serving ,public employee who was havin a bad hair day,and couldn't be bothered to do her job with compassion, probably because it would take a little extra effort.
Hows your faith?

An obvious over site here. You mistakenly assume they mean the God you worship. Think again. They actually mean the god of money. :D

Years back the aclu or one of those type organizations filed suit over that issue. Seperation of church and state . In the end the Gov won. I don't recall the exact defense but it had something to do with it not really meaning God at all. Just some words and so forth, an historical reference I think was how they won over.

Most Gov. slugs make far more than minimum wage though. It is right to question their intelligence. For instance. Lets say its 1990. China is still very much communist and they don't like us very much. In a Gov facility where weapons for our military are being designed would you hire someone fresh off the boat from China to work there? Guess what? I think it would have been wise to leave their design abilities to toys at that juncture.

The Lord allows things like this to happen to us in order to refine our character.

A very wise brother once explained it to me like this: A sculpter looks at a chunk of marble and sees a beautiful statue that nobody else sees. He starts to chisel away. If the rock could talk, it would surely say, "Ouch, quit it! That hurts! Why are you doing this to me?" but the sculpter has a purpose. He is refining the marble and sculpting it into the beautiful statue that he intends it to be, a marvelous work of art. He wil cut off a lot in order to reveal the beautiful statue within. When watching him work, one might not understand why he is doing certain things, until the form of the statue starts to appear.

That's how the Lord works on us. We don't always get it and it hurts like heck sometimes, but he knows that he is bringing out the beauty within and cutting off the unneeded raw material without.
