how important to turn in i-601 at initial incountry interview?

I am freaked out trying to get ready to leave US for my wifes initial incounty interview! How important is it to have the I-601 ready to turn in immediately? What if I need to come back to US before I can finish it!? Help I leave in three days!:ah:

If you have it ready and turn it in most likely the process goes by faster. I think that you should have a strong I-601, take your time and don't rush. Once you feel confident you may turn it in. The CO will give you a sheet and with that sheet you may enter the embassy and turn your I-601.

It takes up to 6 months to approve so the sooner you get it in the better.
