my cat monkey (he is the one in my avatar, btw) went to the vets last week. I had him microchipped and he got his yearly shots. he was a stray kitten and given to me when he was a month old. when he first came to my home and i sent him to the vet the vet told me that i got the worst possible kitten i could get. He had everything: earmites, fleas, upper respatory disease the list went on, but i love him and i bought him insurance that will help with the med bills. Quickly he was cured of all ailments and became a thriving, inquisitive cat. He loved "pretend" biting us and climbing everything. EVery year we use him as a star in our christmas tree :bounce: (yes he even climbs that!!) I thought with time he would settle down, 3 years later and he hasnt  i dont mind, i love him. he fetches, plays hide and seek, he is an alarm clock (the boy is multitalented). Anyway, this past week i got a bad note from the vet, they think he is aggressive  so they need me to control his bad biting (although he never bites down) behavior. so this week ive been grounding him, the minute he pretends to pounce and bite, he gets sent out of the room. It breaks my heart....but it must be done!!!!!

yeah, since he's been 4 months....so i dont know where all the agression is coming from (but seriously i dont think he is agressive, just high energy :shy:) i started letting him out to see if that helps with his pent up energy......i feel like the dog whisperer and i should just throw him on the threadmill.......:bounce:

I did it thru banfield pet hospital and it was 40-50 bucks (cheap, considering i thought it would be in the hundreds) Banfield does two microchips for the two types of readers available, that way if he is ever picked up by a shelter he has better chances of being "scanned" properly. It was the best investment ever. he tends to wonder and he wears a collar (he knows when he goes outside he needs it) but you never know, he could get hurt or stolen so, its less stressful now that he has been chipped.

Human Society's also microchip dogs and cat's and it's about $20 to $30 dollars. Check out your areas and see if you have any Human Society's.
