Needle biopsy???

Good Morning Ladies, I had a question Have any of you before had a needle biopsy before? If yes, does it hurt a lot after is done? Do you rest for the rest of the day?? I'm schedule next Thursday to have this done on my breast and I'm so scared!!! Please give me a lot of feedback and tips. Thanks ladies.

Maria - My mom had one. She says it didnt hurt at all and it was simple and fast. Dont worry girl, you will be ok...Bendiciones!

Oh I understand, I just hate going to the doctor period! One time, she was checking my breast and she said: "I THINK I feel something here" :shocked: right at the moment I started to cry, she said I should go a get a mammogram test, this was 2-years ago when I was 23. Well she said that with my mom's history (breast cancer) I needed one. Then, she called another doctor and she checked me too, and she finally said: "Nothing here, you are ok sweetie" I just felt like my heart came back to my body rapidito...You are in my prayers, keep us updated ok...

Ok, I will!! You know what I rather have surgery than have a biopsy, because I know I need one and I don't want to take the risk. It's really frustrating!

OK, Cuando te hacen un biopsy they take little of what the problem is. So when I go they will stick a needle in my breast to suck a piece of the tumor to study and make a decision of what type of recommedation they will make.

Maria, You will be just fine! I'm a kind of lumpy girl, so I've had biopsies before and I'd really liken it to getting your blood drawn. The procedure is actually not too big of a deal, the worst part is the worry because you know that they are testing for cancer. I know everything will be just fine in your case though girl! Todo va a salir bien, ya veras. No te preocupes!!! Solo te va a picar un mosquito, nada mas :wink:
