Well we just had our 2 year anniv on sunday and yesterday my lawyer called to tell me they received notification from DHS that our waiver was approved!!!:) It was the best news ever!
It's been a long journey and I want to thank everyone for thier support and guidance. You have made this a bit easier. Good luck to everyone who is waiting for a final answer. All I can say is a hang in there and use every resource you have to help.
I'm off to start looking at flights to bring my husband home!!!!!

Well, i got hubby to contact the congressman again yesterday, the congressman emailed the embassy, and today the congressman got a reply saying that my case is completed today, they have sent out the decision today. I will get it anytime, i dun know what to expect. I spoke to the congressman myself just now, she forwarded me the email she got from London. I then called the US Embassy London to find out whats happening with my case, coz on the website my case is still showing as UNDER REVIEW, well the lady told me, maybe the decision was made today, the website won't be updated for a day or 2. I have no clue whats coming up for me! I hope its an Approval! Please God help me~! I will keep you guyz updated.

Fingers crossed! :dunno:

This is good news for you. While we received notice the waiver was approved from DHS we are still waiting for the embassy to tell us to send the passport for the visa. When my hubby called the embassy they said the site indicated it was completed but not everything has been "officially approved". So we shoudl hear shortly that everything - and I mean everything - is completed and approved. Hang in there but you are on your way to be in the USA soon.

I was denied!!!! Need to appeal within 30 days! Don't know how long that takes! I'm like A DEAD WOMAN WALKIN! I wnat to kill myself, instead of a 3 year bar, they changed it and now it says a 10 year BAN! My hubby is getting an attorney in New York, Manhattan, to reconsider the case. I have no clue where i stand now, my girls are in tears, my 7 year old is mentally not well for the past 2 years, ever since she is away from her Father. THey are AMerican born citizens, but they simply can't stay without me, the dun wana leave without me, stuck in the middle of no where. I just hope n pray for the best, if not i will have to go to Canada. thats the only option i've got. I didn't lie and was honest with everything, and at the end i get a denial notice. I dun think i deserved it! I am emotionally and mentally almost DEAD!

OMG....that's just terrible. Did they give you any reason? I'm so surprised that they denied you especially since you have children. How could they change it from a 3 to 10 year bar? I'd get a lawyer involved ASAP and still see what info your congressperson can fnd out for you. You may want to reach out to LauraFern directly as she is so active and supportive on this site. You must be devastated. Any option for your husband to move to be with you? That was my move if we weren't approved and/or it took much longer. I'm so sorry. Post your hardship letter and seek advice too. I'll keep you in my prayers.
