I know, I'm pathetic. Posting this to try to make friends. I'm not desperate by any means...okay, I am a little.

All of my friends are in Dallas, and my best bud Ana, I miss her soooo much. I know you guys are my friends, but you know what I mean. I moved in April down here and Eric has friends already and I don't :crying: That's embarrassing ya'll! I'm trying to keep an ego here!

It's not that I can't make friends, I just haven't really put myself in a social situation to meet anybody. Anytime I go out it's with my hubby and 2 boys. I go to work and come home. I'd like to change that routine. I'd love to meet any of you that are in Houston. I live in Mission Bend. I work off Wilcrest and I-10. I used to go to lunch with someone, now I fly solo because we take lunches seperately to cover the office. That is what took the most adjusting.

So what do ya say???

Maybe you would like to share your HSL and what kind of evidence you gave to the consulate. Supplement your packet. Start a new thread about this. Click on I-601 Waivers-Mexico, then "NEW THREAD". If you'd like Attorney Laurel Scott's help, you have 2 options:

1. Go to her weekly chat. See my signature about it.
2. Pay a consultation fee on her website: www.visacentral.net and consult with Attorney Laurel Scott, she will lead you in the right direction.

Obviously, this may sound biase, but having an attorney is always great. Especially one like her. But, I cannot stress enough that with help from this site, you will get lots of insight as well. Good luck!

I talked to my caseworker last week. I asked what would happened if we were backlogged...that I didn't want to wait another 10-12 months. She said she has gotten them moved up to 3 months

My hubby has tons of friends too, but don't get me wrong I am glad he does then he can go play soccer for a few hours and I get a little private time..............

L - your thread was totally hijacked!!!

I just want to say that Lynette is an extremely nice person and anyone in Houston should really befriend her NOW. If I were there I would... :cheerful:

Your caseworker from your congressman? I have contacted our state representative; congressman; and all I have heard is to contact them after the 12 months are up. What gives?! and sorry to hijack your thread LilB

Why don't you check Yahoo Groups or craiglist or google groups for book clubs or mommy groups in your area? I met some of my best friends through a knitting group (I know, I'm a dork) on yahoogroups.

Do you have other interests? Take a dance or yoga or cooking class or something that interests you. At the least, you'll get some time for yourself and you may just meet some new frends too!

You can add me to the friendless list cause I've been up here for years and still can't find somebody who I can be friends with. Maybe its just me:shy:

Not everyone can relate to the immigration process and it's not like I talk about it every second of my life but not everyone can understand the situation either so it makes it difficult to trust someone.
