I 601 Receipt

Finally We got our I-601 receipt from Vermont service center after 2 months.
It states that they have received our case and provides us with a case number, now we can check the case status online.

I just wanted to inform everybody, because I got the impression from the forum and my attorney that I will not get any receipts.

Hi there, I was looking through the waiver section and I see that your waiver process has gone through the vancouver consulate. My question is how long has it taken you guys to go through your process? I am going to my interview at the vancouver consulate and then we will be submitting my waiver application as well. I just wanted an idea as to how long it takes for approval. Any information you might have would be really helpful. Thank you.

We went through Montreal consulate for our interview.
Every thing went smooth, the officer informed us that waiver could take up to 24 months.

We received our I-601 receipt from VSC (Vermont) after 2 months.
Now waiting for them to respond on our case...........(GOD knows when that will be?)

Good news is it does not seem to be taking 24 months, only 12 or 13. . .wishing you good luck!
