Oh wow, Islamabad to New Delhi - that is a new one. Last I heard they were going to Athens or Rome.

There are a couple people around filing in New Delhi and there have been some approvals there...

I am going to go through Delhi my self but not from Islamabad. I know for a fact that Delhi take almost six months to adjucate the waiver and ofcourse the time its going to take for them to recieve it and mail it back. There are a couple of people who have gotten their waivers approved from there and there hsl is on this site.
Goodluck!

i am also told that my waiver is sent to New Dehli from Islamabad. i am told by embassy ppl that New Dehli is processing cases quickly now and that now they reply within three months ( not sure how true is that). i submitted my waiver in March 08 and was told (thru email) that my waiver has been sent to Rome for further processing . But in June they called me for refingerprinting due to some error in my fingerprints taken last time, thats when they told me that my waiver is going to India and hopefully we will receive a reply within three months.

I emailed DHS ROME,asking about adjudicating cases from Islamabad, they replied that they don't adjudicate cases from Islamabad anymore, and Islamabad DHS sub office has closed down and New Delhi sub office is under the jurisdiction of BANGKOK DISTRICT OFFICE.So now i don't know that where our cases will be adjudicated,New Delhi or Bangkok?.Newdanny do you have any information?

my husband's 601 is in new delhi since March but haven't heard anything yet and they told us it would take approximately 6 months so...I guess it all depends on how the case is. If it's just minor mistake then may be 3 months but people like us, I assume they will take their entire 6 months. I know some other lady here on the site took her 7 months to approve her 601 for her husband in new delhi...so just cross fingers and keep praying.

Also in India do you have 1 interview and then you file the waiver or 2 interviews am kinda nervous dont know what to think. Thanks for all your help.

neverending....read my time line on the bottom...

My husband submitted at Mumbai and then they forwarded to New Delhi. Received date in New Delhi is I think March 15th, 2008. From this date, they count 6 months...so far, haven't heard nothing. All we got is the response from the request my senator sent few months back...and thats what the letter said....wait 6 months.
