Okay, I have too many questions today...

Say my fiance does his medical exam and vaccinations in Juarez so he can get his K-1 visa. How does this work when we try to adjust status here in the U.S. then? Do we have to re-do the medical exam in the U.S., or do we just write a letter explaining that the medical exam and vaccinations were already done in Juarez for the K-1?

We would prefer to just get the vaccinations with the medical done at the same time in Juarez, and not worry about them once we get in the U.S. Or is this not a good idea for some reason?

Sorry, I know that is like at least 3 months until we can apply for AOS, I just want to understand a bit more.

Thanks!

Keep records of his vaccination shots. But I am most certain that he will have to take a medical in the U.S. But he will not have to take vaccination shots again.

With a K-1 visa no vaccinations are required during the medical exam in CDJ. Even if you request them, I don't think they will do them. You may be able to make an additional appointment. Once in the U.S. you will not have to do the Medical Exam again even though some doctors will tell you that you do. All you need is the vaccination supplement. There is a list of Civil Surgeons on the USCIS website that will do the vaccinations and fill out the vaccination supplemental form. When we filed AOS I made a copy of the form that we recieved in CDJ (medical exam completed paper that is stapled to the X-Ray). https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

Thanks, guys. I will make sure to make a copy of the medical report in CDJ before we turn it in for our visa appointment. I didn't know that the report was outside of the bag. I assumed that everything was hidden inside.

They give the elusive X-ray in a plastic black envelope that has "Do not open" printed on it, stapled to it is the form that show's the applicants name, etc. You'll need to keep everything together until after the interview, the immigration officer will look at the information and give everything back (what you will ever do with a chest x-ray is beyond me).
