My husband has his biometrics appt for the I90 coming up this week. So what exactly happens? About how long does it take? And can I go in with him?

They just take photos and fingerprints. My husband was there about 1 hour, but 45 minutes was waiting to be called.

Most offices do not allow people without an appointment inside.
In Atlanta Office you have to wait outside. But that should be stated on your appointment letter (what and who to bring or not to bring).

I suppose it just depends of what office and city you're going to. Here in San Jose, CA, I walked in, checked, sat down for a few minutes when they called me up...Took pictures and fingerprints for about 10 minutes and that was it. When I walked in, I saw a family with children filling out paperwork or waiting for something...so I guess some offices don't mind the extra people.
