No Response after the Interview

June 9th: Had an interview
June 10th: I/O approved everything and was waiting on medical
June 12th: Got my Medical done
June 14th: Picked up my medical from the doctors
June 16th: Dropped it off at USCIS office "customer service desk"


What is the next step. My medical was fine and that's all they requested. I am wondering if they will contact me soon or if I contact them. I am worried even though it has only been 3 days since I dropped off my medical.

I would be less worried if they gave me a receipt for dropping the paperwork off or if they told me what the next step was.

Anyone who has been through a similar thing?

Hi, sorry I don't have an answer for you, just thought I'd let you know that you're not alone. We had our interview today, went ok, but the IO said that he had to check some stuff and he'd let us know a decision by mail in a week or so. He did take my husband's I-94 and some copies of bank statements, etc, but not the EAD card or anything. Who knows??? I think they just delay it to further frazzle our already stressed minds!!! :dizzy: Hope you get some good news soon!

Keep me posted. My I/O was nice enough to call the next day. He was very professional and seemed like he knew what he was doing. Hopefully something will come about soon.

Do you think the interview went well?

During the interview the I/O was very professional (he wasn't nice or mean -- he was just doing his job). He seemed very knowledgeable about his job and my file. He seemed like he had been doing this for a long time (experienced).

The interview wasn't easy or hard (can't describe it). But I felt confident when I left his office because a no answer was better then a "denial".

He personally called me the next day to tell me I will be approved once the medical exam is submitted. I submitted my medical but I just don't know how long it takes.
