I guess I'm full of questions today. :)
I read somewhere that my husband will have needed to register for selective service in order to have his waiver approved. He will turn 25 on the day that we leave for Ciudad Juarez. Should I have him register before we go?
He does not have to be registered for selective service to be approved. My husband never registered and he was here ilegally from the age of 19 to 26. I personally would have him do it though. It will help him when he applies for citizenship later.

Thank you for the advice! I think I will have him do it before we go. It seems like a good idea. :)
Yeah, I wish I would have thought of that before my husband turned 25. :erm: Too late now though.

The cutoff date is actually before age 26, not 25. If you don't have a SS#, you can go to your local post office, fill-out a form there, and then send it in.
Also, they may automatically register him when he gets his green card anyways.
In my opinion, it's just easier to do it now, though.
And, it only seems to come into play when applying for citizenship.
Good luck.
