Hello All,
I got my immigration visa . I am planning to travel in august 2008, I need to know if i can travel back to my home country after a month due to my job in home country i have my commetment with them i will stay with the company till dec 2008. Is there any harm doing that. How long does it takes to recieve a greencard after arrival?

Is there any fee i have to pay at the airport for greencard?

hi sidd...
im not really sure about your question....all i know is that once you have your green card you can stay abroad for no longer than 6months.....anything after that may jeopardize the lpr status.
if you have your visa in the passport it does have an experiation date...i believe its at least 5 months, i think they calculate the amount of time it takes to recieve the green card.

hope i helped.

Once you have your visa you are free to travel to and from your home country. Your greencard should come a couple of weeks after you receive your visa. There is no fee at the airport for using a greencard. You do still need to carry your passport with you if you will be traveling by plane though.
