If someone became a citizen of the U.S. and was able to list a name or names of family they wanted to get citizenship or greencard, why do they wait so long, like 12 years?
Years ago illegal immigrates were able to get tax ID numbers at least ones waiting for their green cards. Why are they listed as illegal if they are able to get a tax ID number and drivers licence, and go to public schools? I understand that the rules have gotten stricter and they are unable to renew the licence if they don't have a social security card. Could anything be done to get temp. legal something for renewing drivers licence, and in waiting for the green card to work and support themselves legally?
How do the children of the parents waiting for green card legally provide for themselves upon turning 18?
