Well guys my hubby went to the consulate at 630am this and got back to the hotel at 12pm everything went ok although the man asking him all the questions was a real ray of sunshine:censored:my hubby once again tried to submit the corrected ds-230's and the guy told him " i am the one in control of the interview not you put your forms away" what a jerk! He also asked the following questions

1. Where was your wife born?
2. Do you have any children together?
3. Where is your stepdaughter's father from?
4. do you have any pictures?
5. When did you enter the us?
6. When did you leave the us?
7. What does your wife do?
8. Where does she work?

After he gave my hubby the form that says he is eligible for the waiver he told my hubby to have a seat then someone would call him up to explain the waiver process my hubby said "sir i already have the waiver appt set up" BIG MISTAKE guys do not tell the consulate that you already have this appt set up the guy told my husband almost shouting at him "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SET UP THE WAIVER APPT UNTIL YOUR FIRST APPT IS COMPLETED AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE WAIVER" whatever this guy must think that we all go in there with absolutely no knowledge of the immigration process and what inadmissability we are gong to be charged with and wether or not we are going to be able to file a waiver. Well at lease my hubby is eligible for the waiver yea yea yea yea :cheerful::cheerful::dance:

I read that somewhere else on here, too. It's like they want you to be unprepared! Strange.

What a :censored:!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry your hubby had to go through that. I know it if my hubby got someone like that, he would be very sad. He always feels that he doesnt stand a chance when someone is rude to him like that.

Anyways! They may not want us to be knowledgeable because then we will be able to do the job for them....for the lawyers even....hehehe

CONGRATULATIONS! :yay:

Sweetlove why would they ask where your daughter's dad is from?! that is odd to me. I have two children from a previous relationship and I don't even think my husband knows his name!!!! How weird......

rmjm30- i am guessing the reason why they asked my hubby about my daughters dad was because of her last name Oh yea they also asked if her dad was mexican too and also his nationality. Then he asked if i had ever been married to him. i do not put anything past these people at the consulate they do whatever they want when they want and there is no rhyme or reason behind anything they do. I swear they feel like they are king tut or something-Everybody bow down to meeeee i have the powerrrrrrrrrrr:smirk::smirk:

Sorry that guy was such a jerk to your hubby. When my hubby's waiver was approved they put one of the wrong last names on his letter. He told the guy that gave it to him that it was wrong and he told him he had to get it fixed the next day. After speaking to three different people, and waiting in line for an hour the next day, they sent him back to the same window and to the SAME guy, Who then fixed his letter......why didn't he just do that in the first place????
