Hi guys I forget when you go down for your 1st appt how much do you spend about?
I remember the medical was about 300.00 and then there was the I-601 fee it was like 584.00 or something. Do you guys know? What about hotels by the new consulate? My friends hubby is going in July so I thought I would get some info for them.

Yes, and it seems like the medical varies a lot. It could be from 135 to 300 dollars depending on how many injections and stuff the person needs.
Plus you need living expenses and travel etc. I was going to try to save about 1,500 dollars for everything.

I don't think the new Consulate is opened yet.
$142.00 for medical no shots (My husband spent $290 for medical and 2 shots)
$100 Banamex is only for K1 and K3 Visas
$545.00 for I-601 Waiver (this is not paid at first appointment)
Some get charged for fingerprints and some don't Between $45.00 and $85.00
Hotels vary from $30-$100 USD
Then costs of Taxi, food ,living expenses
Hope that helps!

Just to confirm it is 545.00 for the waiver and this needs to be paid before you can apply for it correct? Any one know any good hotels I can let my friend know about? So this is what I get so far:
545.00 I-601 waiver fee
85.00 for finger prints (may not be needed)
150.00 -300.00 for medical (he has not had shots at all)
Hotel (depends on where you stay)
Is this correct?

I don't believe the new consulate is open. We have our appointment late July and we are going to the old consulate.

This is correct depending on how many shots he needs.... hubby had 2 and it was $260.00.
