Hello.
This is my first message to you.
I submited waiver I-601 in mars 2008 in Dakar, now it is pending Accra Ghana.
My husband is a u.s citizen,he wrote in the hurdship letter that i enterd the u.s withe a B-2 visa in order to do some medical exams because i had several miscarriages since our marriage, and when i got pregnant my dactor adviced
me to stay until my baby was born for this reason i over stood in the u.s.
I want to know if my husband needs a letter from my doctor to proof that
or he does not because it is not concern him.

Bmars - the hardship packet has to prove hardship to your USC husband if you, the immigrant, are barred from the U.S. for ten years. I don't quite understand what you are saying about the medical exams but it doesn't sound too relevant to the claim of hardship on his behalf.
You should read some examples of approved letters in the different i-601 forums on this site and maybe send in more evidence for them.

A letter from the doctor probably wouldn't hurt, although the main focus of the hardship letter should be about the hardship that your husband will face if you are not able to immigrate to the states. Explaining the reason that you overstayed your visa is not going to hurt, but it should be a very minor part of the letter, not the whole focus.

bmars,
A letter from your doctor about why you overstayed is unlikely to help in the waiver process. It all about the law, and that says the only question to be answered is whether your husband (USC) will suffer extreme hardship if you are not allowed to immigrate.
Being a family with children is a positive for the HSL according to a recent posting by Laurel Scott recently, so good luck:)!

god know and i hope it happen it all about luck and strong hsl and support documentation, and explanation why it will hs to usc hubby if you would be denied the waiver, if i understand you have a baby with your hubby, that could help, but the letter from your doctor is only a support documentation, just wait and see thing will be okay and who prepare your hsl letter you or the lawyer?
