I got my letter for an appointment in Ciudad Juarez September 5th, I really want to make sure we do everythign correctly and get approved, I tried making an appointment through infopass but it keeps telling me that you cant make an appointment at the time in Juarez, can someone help is there any other way to call or make the appointment to file the 1-601 waiver at an appointment we're trying to make the day after our appointment, to do the pilot program?
Also when will the harship letter samples be back we're writing our letetr right now and want to take out time we have elft to go over everythign making sure we get the best changes.
As far as timelines with the pilot program how long does it take to try and plan accordingly, my husband has to take the 1-601 waiver since his parents brought him illegaly into the country. but he has no criminal record whatsoever.
Any other tips or help I would greatly appreciate we're panicing a bit now since our date is getting closer and we have a house etc we dont want to lose, a baby gilr we dont want to seperate form her too long :(, thank you so much in advance for any help.

Congratulations Cathryn! Great to know they're starting to schedule 1st appointments again. We're waiting for ours as well, when was your case transferred to CDJ?
Regarding the infopass appointment, if I remember right, its set up in such a way that you can only make appointments 2 weeks in advance, so if you're looking for an infopass appt on Sep 6th, you will have to wait until August 23 to make the appointment. I hope someone who has actually gone through the process confirms this.
The site moderator posted that she will have some of the HSL posted in a few hours, but if you can't wait, I have a copy (in word docs) of most of the approved letters. So if you want me to e-mail you them, let me know, and I'll be glad to help you out.
We haven't had our 1st appointment yet, so I'm not familiar with the timelines. I'm sure one of our more experienced members will provide some more information.

Welcome Cathryn!
A note on the Infopass, I think it's recommended to have at least one business day between the initial appointment and the Infopass for the waiver. They have to process the fingerprints, etc, so you should probably make it the following day. As AYV said, you will have to wait until a few weeks before the interview to make the Infopass.
Good luck preparing the waiver, keep asking questions!
Congrats on getting your appointment Cathryn!!!

ooh ok so I'll wait to make the appointment two weeks, before for a day after our initial meeting, can I make the infopass appointment by calling? or does it have to be online? Also after the infopass appointment do you get your visa right away after that appointment, like approved that same day?
Azul y Vampy : it would be awesome if you can post them or email them.

OMG Cathryn,
You're really getting me excited. Our timelines are so close to each other, it's scary! If you're file was forwarded in November, it actually took 10 months for the interview. This gives me hope that we might get an interview sooner than October... this is big news for us :D
BTW, did you notice that Marie posted most of the approved HSL already? I'm guessing you won't need my copies anymore.
With the Pilot Program, if you get approved during your infopass appt, from what I've heard, they do stamp your passport and/or give you a package to turn in at the POE when you come back to the US, which can be that same day you get approved.

wow that's gerat news as well, if we only have to go for about a week with the infopass that would save us a really great deal of stress money and trouble I really hope I get approved the day after in the infopass appointment now to just wait and make the appointment, since in the infopass website it won't even let me check if I can make an appointment it just says this :
At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later.
Imma start writing my letter and poste it to see if I can get any feedback, help with it on here, I heard the approval rates on the hardship letters are pretty good in juarez.

Me too!! Me too!! Our appointment is.....September 11th! Maybe we'll see each other. We're flying to Mexico City on 9/1 to spend a week with my hubby's family in Pachuca, Hidalgo. We're gonna be flying to CDJ on 9/9 to file our waiver. We've already decided that we're being approved. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. God, I hope! Azul and Moises-You should be next...Our case was processed in early October....

Cathryn,
I'm not sure but maybe when you are trying to schedule your info pass on the drop menu are you putting "United States" if thats the case that is why it won't let you see appointments, you need to put Ciudad Juarez Mexico.
I just had my first appointment on June 13th and I scheduled my info pass before I left because I didn't want to run the risk of leaving with out one. I scheduled it for the next day. Most people recommend you wait a day between your 1st appointment and your info pass, to be on the safe side.
Like I said my 1st appointment was the 13th and they told me I qualified to file and I601 waiver. I knew that before hand so I left with my packet in hand. My info pass was on the 14th. I showed up, immediately was sent to pay the fee, then I was sent back to building "C" window 13. I turned in my HSL and within 30 minutes I was called back up and told I was approved. Then they sent me to building "B" again where I waited for 5 hours for my Visa. I didn't mind though because I left with a Visa in hand the same day! :grpwave: :grpwave: :grpwave:
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
