Change name?

Hi everyone! It's amazing to be here in the US again with my hubby. I have a question regarding my social security number. Since I have a valid SSN before from my working visa, do I have to go to the SS office and have my name changed to my married name and my marital status? How am I going to do it? I want to open a bank account soon and I know that they will ask for my SSN. Don't sure if I can use it right away. Thanks!

When I got my visa I already had a SS# and I continued using the same one. I did go apply for a new card with my married name but it was the same number so no problems there.

I'm on K-3; do I have to file for AOS first before applying for a new card? Thanks.
