Declaration of Aidee Gonzalez in support of
Jesus E. Gonzalez Perez’ I-601 Waiver
I, xxx U.S. Citizen declare under penalty of perjury that the following declaration is true and made without any reservation:
I am writing to you in regard the I-601 Waiver that I have filed for my husband, XXX, who is my best friend and soul mate. He is a wonderful father and a role model for our children and for others. I cannot even begin thinking life with out him. I met Jesus while we were both living in San Jose, California. In fact, he was my next door neighbor. During that time, I was coming out of a bad relationship, my mom and younger sister were trying to introduce me with this “nice guy” who was a respectful and good hearted person, as they would say. I was not interested in meeting any body at the time because I was in deep depression from my past relationship that lasted 9 years.
One day, when I was coming from work and my little sister was with “the neighbor” in the parking lot and introduce us. Days passed and one day coming back from college I saw “the neighbor” and we began talking. I remember our first conversation was about God which I thought was very unique that a guy would talk to me about God. As days passed, we became good friends and he invited me to his home church, Iglesia Misionera Del Camino. My mom and my entire family were so happy because they saw how happy my friendship with XXXX made me. I was so impressed about XXXXXX’s personality; he was humble, honest and respectful. He was somebody I could trust and we fell in love. We became boyfriend and girlfriend by the end of the year 2000.
I started attending Iglesia Misionera Del Camino church where my husband was playing drums and also working with the Youth group. I joined the chorus and helped in anything that I was needed. My life changed and I was feeling like a new person having my now husband there, who I could trust entirely. Jesus Eduardo is someone who really cares about others and feels happy helping others. He arrived to the United States when he was only 17 years old and has been working every since and giving of himself to us and to our church. We got married on September 22, 2002. Our Pastor’s Jose and Concepción Amparan were out pre-marital counselor who taught us the importance of having and keeping a strong marriage because it is for the rest of our lives. I knew that Jesus Eduardo was the one person for me and whom I had prayed to God to send my way. .It was the most wonderful ceremony and reception where our family, spiritual family, youth group and friends helped and shared with us such an important step in our lives .We had the blessing and opportunity to spend our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.
My husband and brother-in- law owned a townhouse where we were living and after a year we had the opportunity to buy it. Since we already had our own house we started having youth Bible studies at home every Wednesday, where my husband and I were giving the classes and had a very good response from youth in our church. Also, seeing them getting better in school and helping them through hard times was very gratifying for us. On April 26, 2004 our first baby was born, her name is Alessandra Elizabeth Gonzalez who is very attached to her daddy. She has this caring sense for her daddy, who knows that every Saturday morning they go to a coffee house to have their talk. Every night my husband reads a book in order for her go to sleep. On April 10, 2006 our second baby was born, his name is Gael Oved Gonzalez, who is the most energetic kid and who was diagnosed with asthma. Our family is now complete. Jesus Eduardo is not only my best friend, but he is also a wonderful husband and caring father to our children. Our lives would be affected negatively if he was not granted the waiver.
HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS:
We need Jesus Eduardo to be with us not only because he is the head of our household but also because of him our kids and myself would suffer extremely. Our youngest son has been diagnosed with Asthma since he was a baby. In fact, one of the reasons we moved from California to Arizona was so that he could be in warmer client. He needs a treatment of Albureterol through a Compressor Nebulizer System machine. Our son Gael needs to be under our constant care and it would be impossible for him to live in Mexico as we know that he would not be able to get the same medical treatment that he gets here. If he were to suffer an Asthma attack over there I don’t know what would happen.
I will need to undergo eye surgery in near future. At the moment, we do not have health insurance so everything will need to come out of our pockets. Plus, I will definitely need Jesus Eduardo to be here with me and the kids while I recuperate.
Since I was little I have been very close to my parents especially to my father who has always has been there for me and he has been living with us for more than three years. My father is 68 years old; he is retired. I have been taking care of him, taking him to the doctor, the bank, to his Social security appointments and everywhere he needs to go. I translate forms for him whenever he needs it. He has come to depend on me and my husband a lot. If my husband is not approved, my father will not afford to pay rent on his own and I will be very worried about him, causing me a lot more stress Since I am the only one who can provided him a housing. He needs somebody who can be patience with him. My parents raised us very close, I have 5 sisters and a brother who are United States Citizens. It will be so hard for me to be far away from them since my whole family is in the United States, my mom who is my best friend and my confidant will be so far from me and that is painful for me to think since our relationship will not be the same and I will not be able to come as often as I would like. This would definitely be a hardship to our kids and I as we would not be close to my family.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Since I have use of reason I have been dreaming of having my own business, something the Jesus Eduardo and I share On February 2005 we bought a fourplex unit, where my husband is the manager, he is in charge of all the maintenance, the cleaning, landscaping, and all repairs. If my husband’s waiver is not approved, I will not be able to keep up with all that he takes care of in our investment. Also, due to the mortgage crisis the country is going through it will take forever to sell. We are talking about our family’s economic well being, Besides , I do not want to go into foreclosure which may happen if Jesus Eduardo is not here; I have been working so hard to keep an excellent credit. Since we moved to Arizona my husband has been working during the day and I started a job working three days the graveyard shift and mornings on the weekends. With this schedule we can watch our children 24 hours a day, but if my husband is not allowed to be back soon, I will struggle and will have to look for childcare or may even have to apply for public assistance in order to survive. Even if Jesus Eduardo were to find a job in Mexico, he has not lived there for the past 20 years and getting a job to support both himself and our family here in Arizona is just not possible.
Besides our real estate, we also bought a family car back in 2006 the we are still making payments on We also have a few other debts that with XXXXhere it is still manageable, but without him, our family would be in ruins. Our home mortgage with all the debt is all I really need for you to consider my husband’s approval since my debt will only increase and I will not be able to afford paying all necessities like, car, car insurance, electric bill, gas bill, mortgage bill, homeowners association bill, internet bill, water bill, groceries bill, the car gas bill which is outrageously high now a days, putting all together my monthly expenses are more then my monthly income. Furthermore, there is always something breaking, flooding, or tenants leaving without paying rental agreements. Our family needs Jesus Eduardo to be here with us. We depend on him and our children and I would suffer if he was not approved
EDUCATION/ PERSONAL CONSIDERATIONS
I am a dreaming person who works hard to achieve my dreams and one of them is to be a Certified Public Accountant, but in order for me to persuade my dream I need my husband, not only because he would better help me with the children, but also Jesus Eduardo being here is my reason for motivation of goals achieved. (College info added here!). Without the emotional and economic support of my husband, I would have to put my school dreams aside and get two jobs, just to be able to support our kids.
Since we started with this process I have been so stressed mainly because we have a lot of responsibilities in our lives. As I mentioned before one of our priorities are our children. The idea of my children growing up in Mexico is not a fair choice for an American citizen. Sure, they are young but they should not be forced to grow up in a country that is not theirs. Especially, our youngest son with his Asthma problems, he definitely needs to stay in his country, were he may be able to get the adequate medical treatment. Also, all the kidnapping, robbing, in insecurity that Mexico is going through, does not make it a place we want our family to be raised. ( See the“Aviso Para su protección ”attachment (wwwfcdj427.pdf). There is no contrast between the advantages and opportunities than the U.S., my country! My husband has not been back to Mexico for almost 20 years cannot tell whether our family will be safe. It is just a risk that we cannot take at this time or ever.
Our family is a very tight-knit family. We are always together. Both of our kids know at what time their daddy gets home and wait to receive him, as he opens the door they surprise him with a hug and kiss. Jesus Eduardo is their life and mine too. It is very difficult for me to think about myself and my children being without their father, because we are so close as a family. It would be like asking us to not breathe. We have always strived, to raise strong-minded and confident children with good moral principles that are something that can only be accomplished by having both parents at home. We are concerned about their safety, we believe that the best thing we can do for our children is to be with them. Even further, any children’s first five years are the most important, that is where they develop their character, and having both parents together plays a key role in their development. XXXXXXhas not even spent a day away from us. He is a loving and dedicated father who is needed to be a part of our family, please allow him to continue living in the United States with us, we need him here.
It is for the many reasons listed above that I ask and pray that you please consider my husband, XXXXX’s waiver and use favorable discretion to approve it. We need him to be here with us. Our family will be eternally grateful.
.
My baby boy who born with umbilical cord around his neck is getting a head scan and dr will sent him for development test next June 3, also when I was 4 month pregnant Dr sent me for down syndrome blood test that came positive and sent me for amniocentesis pulling water from stomach and it came negative but my baby boys head is growing a little bite big and know I am working 4:00pm to 1:00 am in it is very hard for me go to drop them off and pick them up, my baby boy is always a wake waiting for me to take him home I am so frustrated I really suffering because my husband was helping me with them all the time my daughter is questioning me why I left daddy in Mexico ? When is he coming? When I am bringing him back because I was the one who took him there? I read to her she is complaining about I am no rearing the books as daddy does, most of the times we are going to church Thursdays and Sundays in giving classes to teenagers and little kids all of them are telling me when is husband coming back I am trying to explain it to them but I feel so sad I never tough this is going to be so hard for me even though I was a strong woman it is what I tough.
In our small business fourplex for rent where my and landscaping husband and I are working so hard to keep it and where husband does the maintenance now I have to go and clean and somebody went and wrote gratify I do not have money to pay all my credit cards are going up and up does why I need help please how can explain to the adjutitor about not all this things happen not even kid got sick because we are trying to do the best thinks for our family and try to grow them healthy and strong with a good moral principles and also help others husband had almost 20 years in the states he did not have no one to do a petition for him since they were living in poor conditions his mother brought them his parents are divorce husband start working and helping mom in brothers in his life was work in church now I do not who to express my frustration the only think I know is before this, we where building a strong family and now everything is falling down sorry if I ask to much I already print all the approve letters but my mine is in blank
Thank you for you time in hoping that you can help us I know you read a lot of this letters but we are trying to do the best for our life in moving to Mexico will be so difficult for me and kids and all the insecurity, my home town house is Sinaloa Mexico a small village were I will be sending my kids to school since they have only school for 6 grade and here my daughter is already register in preschool will start in August 2008, and she is so excited she already know abc’s and write her name may be you do not conceder this as hardship but there is a comment how important is for kid to go to preschool most of the kid who goes to preschool are the future college graduated please with all my repet give us the opportunity to be a unificated family who want to have a good impact to the our Nation.. Please consider mi worry as wife mother I do not want to be worry about the violence in Sinaloa Mexico and I do not want to grow up my kids in insecure place I don’t want them to be causality of other people problems and I don’t want my parent in law pressure to baptize them in catholic religion and questioning me as they do it by telephone. We are living in a free country where they can be so happy and freedom.
