Pls help me When he can apply for N400?

My husband took his GC through his mom on Jan, 14, 2005
I know that:
1. He has to have Green Card 5 years.
2. Physically appearance for 30 months out of the 5 years.
3. Pay taxes.
4. Not to leave the state more than 6 months.
My questions are:
• When he will be able to apply N400 application?
• Is it true that he can apply it 6 months before he finishes 5 years that’s mean in July, 2009?
• Let him file for me and our son (2 years old) now or wait till he gets his citizenship?

He can apply 3 months not 6 of the exact date, which would be October 14th, 2009.

I'm almost exactly like your husband, he beat me by 2 weeks. I got my GC through my mom as of January 31st, 2005, so starting from Oct 31, 2009 and on, I can apply for my citizenship.

If you entered legally he can file for you now and then send and upgrade to INS of his change of status, or you can wait until he has gotten his certificate of naturalization and then file.

I agree with Ale, but I would wait until he get's his citizenship because it will be much faster to petition for you and your daughter. Best of Luck.

How long dose the process to get his citizenship take?
Is it true that it takes only 6 months?
He is living in Louisiana so he will apply through New Orleans district office?
