i feel i need to oppoligies for my bad english, i am dislexic and finding all this visa stuff very confusing.

My wife (USC) and myself (UKC) my wife is in the process of sending off the I-130 Form/s.

to cut a long story short, i have a criminal past, i viseted the USA on the VWP and filled out the form on the plain (marryed in USA). like many others before me i put no on the section where it asked about my criminal record etc. i thought at the time that all my crimes where spent (car theft, breaking and entering, shoplifting, etc) all crimes where comitted before the age of 17, im 35 now.

since age of 17 i have had two drink driving convictions. on top of this i overstayed on my VW by 90 days but retured to the uk volenterly.

i was wondering if anyone else here has been in same posistion as me and maybe will be able to give me some advice. reason i post on here is that i realise i will ahve to fill out a I-601 at some point. is there anything i can do before this to make things easyer? also can anyone recomend a lawer that deals in waivers that is close to the tri citys NW washington state. i think it will be cheeper if my wife goes and sees the lawer. i am going to send her my ciminal record and we can see where we stand with the over stay and also saying no on VWP and also my criminal record. bleh.

any advice will be so apreciated.

thank you in advace.

Welcome!

Even though she's not in your area, I would highly recommend you do a consult with Laurel Scott (visacentral.net). She is very experienced with waivers and would be able to give you a realistic idea of what you are facing.
