Visa appointmet in Rio after I-601 waiver approval

Did anyone here pick up a visa in Rio after the whole I-601 process recently? It looks like they changed the rules and no longer gives you an option between either pick the passport up or have it mailed to you residence. Is this true? If it gets mailed, how long does it take to get to your house after the appointment? Do they use Fedex, UPS or Brazilian sedex. Thank you guys! :)

The Consulate will mail your visa, no more next day pick up. It took about a week for my fiance to get her visa.

In the consulate thay have special company,we have to pay a fee in the consulate to be delivered, thay don't trust others, it's good.

Do you know what company? Fedex, UPS? Can we pay more to have it rushed. I hate the idea of having my passport being mailed, I don't trust it.

thats why they have their own company, but I don't think you can pay more
to rush it,the only way you can have it more faster, like you said wait in Rio.

She was in Goiania. If you are in Rio, it should be faster. We were so paranoid after all that we had been through that she didn't make her flight reservations until she had the visa in hand. Best if luck to you! I hope you get your visa very quickly. Where will you be living in the US?

Well, will be flying to NY, I have a friend that works for Jet Blue, he is getting me a buddy pass from JFK to PHX -Arizona.
