Those of you whose spouse was deported to Mexico- where was he or she sent to, which city?

Also, anyone know someone who wasn't Mexican but lied and said they were to get "caught & released" or deported to Mexico rather than his/ her home country?

When my fiance was deported, they took him to Brownsville, TX.

When my husband was caught he was caught in NY and they took him to nuevo laredo and then when he was caught in el paso tx they sent him back over into cdj.

I think that for Mexico they usually just drop people across the border. My fiance is from Mexico City, so he had to find his own way back from the border. Thank goodness he had enough money!

they dont send them to there home citys they just but them at the border make them walk back over the bridge to mexico and then they have to find there own way home. I know in cdj they can go to the mexician consulate and they will give them a pass for half of bus fare. Otherwise they are on there own.

well if you are given Vold Departure.. its like u pay for your own ticket but u must leave... my husband went to mexico city.. but thats cuz that's where i bought the ticket to.... im not sure what they do if say you're caught in NY and they deport you on an airplane.. i have no idea where they drop you off... for some reason.. i do believe it MIGHT be..at some international airport in Mexico because my husband needed a valid passport to prove he was mexican and they stamped it... im not sure though

Funny you should mention NY - that's actually where my fiance was detained. When they finally deported him, they took him and a group of people on a bus from the detention center in upstate NY to Philadelphia, PA and then on a plane from Philadelphia to Brownsville, TX. Then they took them across the border. I remember that someone in the detention center who was from Honduras was first taken somewhere down south and then flown to Tegucigalpa - so maybe that's more commonly done with countries that don't share borders with the US because they can't just ditch them on the other side?

Just noticed your husband was in NY...was he detained in NY before they deported him? My fiance was in Batavia. :(

Yes actually that is where we are from is batavia ny. It is just a little town but of course they have the federal prison there. He was detained in the prison for 2weeks and then they all got on the bus and went to someplace to get on the airplane and brought right to the border. It is crazy how they do it he never paid anything due to him having deportation.
