asking a question for a friend-not sure where to post this

hi everyone--I hoping someone can give some advice on this -- a friend of ours would like to apply for his papers-- but the thing is that his boss would like to pettion for him-- he came in 2005--but before he actually arrived in U.S. he had about 4 catch and releases--his boss again would like to petition for him but he is not sure nor I am how to start this process either some advice would be great help thanx so much!!!!:)

Employment based cases are generally more complicated than family based cases, so I would go to an attorney for the answer just to be safe.

I have read on here that employment based petitions are not eligible for a waiver and being that he had some problems would not work. Does he have an usc relative to petition?
